PEAN Health is committed to improving oral health among school children through our ongoing and progressive School Oral Health Outreach Program across Dar es Salaam. Through this initiative, our dental team visits schools to provide comprehensive oral health education, helping children understand the importance of proper brushing, oral hygiene, healthy eating habits, and regular dental visits. We also conduct oral health screening to identify common dental and oral conditions at an early stage.
Children identified with oral health problems are appropriately referred for further dental assessment and treatment, while participating children receive oral health incentives such as toothbrushes to encourage and support good daily oral hygiene practices. Our goal is to move beyond treating dental problems to preventing them through early education, screening, referral, and continuous follow-up.
